Even Cheergerms need a little holiday

Just a wee note to say gidday and to wish all and sundry a Happy New Year. We are off on a camping trip for the next little while. Some may say our holiday collective ‘glamps’ and those people may or may not be correct. I suppose it depends on your perspective.

I leave you with a little pictorial insight into our Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations, which were held at Sister Two’s lovely family abode this year. Good times indeed.

Our camping destination is South West Rocks, a little piece of beachside heaven on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. If the muse hits me slap on the side of the head with a piece of nice fresh fish, there may even be the odd brief holiday missive as well. Until the next time we meet, lang may yer lum reek.

  1. Oooh, lovely! I really love South West Rocks, I’ve spent many quality days there (used to live in Coffs Harbour). If you have time, make a day trip down to Hat Head, a bit further south, the lagoon and beach there are just wonderful. I’m having to restrain myself from giving you a whole list of stuff you ‘must’ do. Enjoy your trip, and have a good rest.

    • Thanks Kate, this is our third year there and how gorgeous is it!! We went to Hat Head last year and will totally be back. I always welcome new ideas so thanks! We have hit the frog and toad, woohoo! Have a super day.

    • Thanks Mrs R. Rain has begun but what can you do!? Loads of scrabble, puzzles, books and Uno thus far. And eating and drinking of course. Tarpaulins are the key…Happy New Year to you and all of your tribe. πŸŽ‰

  2. Fabulous shots- everything looks like it went smoothly. Might come to yours next year! Have a great holiday at SW Rocks, which is one of my favourite spots along the NSW coast. Oh no, you’ve let the secret out.

    • Thanks lovely Mrs I! And anyhoo… I was planning to come to yours!! No, seriously…Oops…judging on the amount of people here I think it’s a done deal.. One day of rain….done… Now it can bugger off! Ha… Doubt it!
